Abigail was born on 28/07/2012, and unbelievably was found in a cardboard box, in downtown Harare at 2am one morning, in the middle of our winter. Abigail was taken to the local hospital, who in turn contacted us, and we were thrilled to bring her home to Jabulani. Abigail has everyone twisted around her little finger and loves to be held close! Abigail has gained weight rapidly and is a very beautiful smile and seems to know just what to do to get her own way. Blessing enjoys playing with and looking after Abigail.
We would ask you to pray and think if you would like to be involved in Abigails life. We are seeking to build an education fund which will enable us to send her to a top school here in Harare and give her a chance to excel.
The Government schools have an average class size of 50 children and costs US$120 per term, there are three terms per school year, and an A grade school costs US$250 per term where a private school is anything from US$750 and a Christian private school US$1500 per term.
If you think you would like to get involved with us in sponsoring Abigail for school, please send us an email with "Abigail" in the subject box. You can sponsor any amount on a monthly, per term or on a annual basis.
Thank you for reading this we look forward to hearing from you. As you can see from Abigail's birthday, she is still a few years away from school age but we are trying to build a fund to see what type of school we can send her to. We want her to have as great an opportunity as we can provide but we don’t know what the fees will be when she actually starts school.
We will put all monies received into her personal fund and it will not be used for any other purpose.
Zimbabwe Orphan Care update (Jan. 25, 2016):
Due to a recent review of our global online presence on social media, and following updated legal direction from local government authorities regarding images of children online, we have taken the decision to remove all pictures of the children in Jabulani. We know you will understand the reasoning behind this move and appreciate your support and continued prayer for our work.
