We pray you are well and enjoying JESUS! We apologise for missing a month on our update, we have been away in Ireland and celebrating Dorothys 60th birthday and our 42nd wedding anniversary and it has all caught up with us, please forgive me and thank you for your continual prayers and love for our precious children. Things have become very difficult in Zimbabwe right now as our power/electricity company ZESA has started to only supply power between the hours of 10pm and 4am and with 13 children you will know its a challenge every day without this, we have been running a night shift to catch up with washing and ironing, we have a stand by gas stove so we can cook food for everyone ok but we ask you to please pray that the price of gas does not explode! There are crooks everywhere! We are actually looking into solar options right now to see if we can make life a little easier for everyone at Jabulani, the start up costs are huge but the electricity situation is apparently 5 years away from returning to normality! Although seeing as how we have been having power outs practically every day since 2000 we are not sure what normality is! Here are pics and updates for our precious children.
Kuda and Joshua are both doing great and eating well, we thank God for Shelter who takes care of Kuda and Mel who looks after Joshua, Joshua is eating well and gaining weight which means we need bigger diapers, pray we can source these please, he is such a pleasant child. Kuda is almost 8 years old, its amazing to think when we got her at 3 months old the hospital said she would be dead in a few weeks Praise God for her good health and general happy smiling face.
We pray you are well and enjoying JESUS! We have had a good month of July and everyone is well at Jabulani, we have had a very mild winter and the temperatures are up near 80f (25c) most days, while a little chilly in the evenings, apart from a few coughs and flu we thank God for the general health of everyone.
Kuda and Joshua are both doing great and eating well, we thank God for Shelter who takes care of Kuda and Mel who looks after Joshua, these young ladies love these children as their own, their patience, love and compassion is something to behold, thank you for your prayers for these two very special children.
Grace, Blessing and Hope continue to get on well at school, Hope and Blessing both received merit and conduct badges this term, their school work is exceptional, they enjoy school and love their teacher Miss Farera, they enjoyed a school trip to an animal farm and also were reciting poems with their school in a competition, they did well! Grace continues to work hard and is a real blessing, she can handle the heavy school workload very well, hockey and netball have finished and she along with the other girls are looking forward to swimming next term.
